Every approximately 34 years Saturn and Pluto conjoin at the same part of the zodiac. Each time this happens we see consistent themes: heightened conflict, moral breakdown, fundamentalism, authoritarianism, suppression, projection of evil. Peaking at the conjunction in early 2020 2019-20 is one such period; already many of these themes are evident.

At such times we must all work to avoid the almost irresistible tendency to take sides, and rather cultivate deep curiosity at the polarisations confronting us from the world and within our own personalities. 

This 2-hour lecture will discuss the Saturn-Pluto ‘conversation’, from both the global/historic and the person/inward perspectives. I will attempt to glean the positive purpose of such archetypal power along with the challenge it asks us all to meet. I will explore previous cycles, financial implications, the birth charts of relevant national and public figures, client examples from my practice, and, time permitting, charts from the class.
