The Art of Relating

6-8 October 2017

Increasingly the world seems to be plagued by the fragmentation of relationships: alienation and disconnection touches most of us, whether in community, family, partnership or even within oneself. There has never been a more pressing time to work on reversing this trend: we must build healthier relationships. Putting conscious awareness at the centre of all relating brings more honest relationships, enables us to live more fulfilling lives, and contributes sanity to a struggling world. Astrology provides one of the most powerful and perceptive systems to bring such awareness.

The Retreat

Over this weekend we will come together to use the infinitely articulate language of astrology to examine many levels of relating, from the individual to the collective. You will be inspired through a combination of classroom teaching, exercises, chart studies, group discussion, ‘active’ astrology, inner work and contemplation, and story telling.

Lovers do not finally meet somewhere.
They are in each other all along.
— Rumi

The teaching will enable a deeper understanding of who you are, your patterns in relating, and strategies for healthier relationships. It is guaranteed to inspire you to realise your own unique potential and true sovereignty in all that you do - one of the profound gifts of astrology.

Special Bonus! Early morning Yoga sessions will be on offer, reminding us of the fundamental relationship with our own bodies and their rhythm.

The Content

Sessions during the weekend will include focus on the inner child and primal needs, the role of the four elements, love and partnership, Chiron and the outer planets, the parents, family patterns of astrological inheritance, community and generational relationship patterns, spiritual relationships, and relating beyond the threshold. The sessions will centre around your own birth charts, enabling you to apply the learning directly and personally.

In the relaxed atmosphere there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion, and, if you choose, opportunities to have your own horoscope workshopped. Star-gazing is planned for the evenings.

Whilst previous knowledge of astrology would be useful, beginners are welcomed - a parallel session introducing the essential basics may be available. Don’t forget - Astrology is a language that speaks to all at some level, so it can be quick to pick up the essentials.
