Planet Threads: exploring astrological inheritance patterns, a workshop

  • Corvus Astrology online (Zoom) (map)

Most astrology students have a moment in their early studies when they are awe-struck by the common astro-themes and other links they see emerging when studying the star charts of their family members. Whether it points to karma or a peculiar aspect of genetics or both, I’m convinced that an astrological inheritance is at least as important as commonly accepted mechanisms of heredity. The presence of such undeniable generational links in family charts poses tantalising and important philosophical and spiritual implications. But it also provides fascinating lines of research and enquiry.

In this practical and personal on-line workshop we will be exploring these ideas. I’ll be introducing you to techniques for exploring the threads of family patterns from an astrological angle. With these, you will be embarking on your own personal research project, which you will have a chance to share with your fellow students. You’ll come away with a deepened sense of the mysteries of inheritance and life itself, and a better understanding of - perhaps a whole new perspective on - your family and some of the psycho-spiritual themes that motivate or run through it.

Given the strong emphasis on your own personal family story, you will need to gather your family’s charts, in anticipation of this workshop. On-line chart drawing facilities such as on astro.com will make this easier. Don’t worry if birth times aren’t available for everyone; much can be done with untimed charts. And in their absence default to a 12 noon birth. Ideally I would like you to have charts of direct relations over at least three generations.

Prerequisites: you will need to have a good understanding of the basic lexicon of the astrological language to get the most from this short course.

Four Wednesday evenings, weekly, from 7-9pm NZ local time (07:00-09:00 GMT). Cost NZ$295
